Understanding Fortnite's sniper mechanics is the foundation of every great shot. Every sniper rifle in the game features realistic bullet physics that separate skilled marksmen from casual players. Bullet drop varies significantly between rifles — the Reaper Sniper Rifle has the least drop, making it effective at extreme ranges with minimal adjustment, while the Hunting Rifle requires you to aim well above distant targets. Bullet travel time means your shot takes a split second to reach its target, so leading moving enemies is essential.
